need help on pyinstaller in pycharm

Question

I'm trying to build an exe file from my pycharm project but it did not succeed. I've tried several solutions from the Internet but they didn't work for me. there was nothing in the dist folder. the statement I used was "pyinstaller main.py". I also upgraded pyinstaller from 4.2 to 5.0 and it still didn't work. please help. Thanks

upgrade pip and try to install pyinstaller from github repo

python.exe -m pip install --upgrade pip
python.exe -m pip install https://github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller/archive/develop.zip

after that try to build exe file. pyinstaller "filename"
