My ParrotOS on VirtualBox keeps running the installation then taking me back to the try/install menu, how do I fix this?

So I'm trying to get Parrot OS to work on my VirtualBox but everytime I go through the installation process and click restart it just takes me back to the very start again where it gives you the installation options rather than allowing me to log in. The user i make isnt even there.

I've tried giving it more RAM more storage, using both Debian and Ubuntu in 32 bit and 64 bit and I've searched online for hours to find a solution but can't find anything on it.

I followed maybe 5 installation guides, gone through several forums and have just been searching for hours. All I expect to happen is for the installation to go through and take me to the log in screen but it just takes me back to the screen you see when you first boot up Parrot.

This sounds like your VM has it's boot order set up in a way that places the install source (probably a virtual CD drive) above the disk you targeted when doing the install (probably a virtual hard disk).

To fix, with the VM off, go into the settings, under Storage, and select the install disk, then click "Remove Disk From Virtual Drive". Make sure you don't completely remove the virtual drive itself, just remove the disk from the drive.

Then, under the System tab, make sure that the Hard Drive option is selected. That do it.
