Is it better to take screenshots from the server or from the client in a web application?

The thing is that i want to take screenshots of the current state of the webapp, but not necessary of the entire deskpot.

My question is: > What are the advantages to take screenshot from server and what from client?

To specify, I want to send the image by mail, but my webaap already send mail so thats not the question.

Well, the question is quite not clear. But as far as I understood, You want to take screenshots of web app ie web application. Now, This must be done via the frontend (in your case webapp). It's not the responsibility of the backend server to take the screenshot. There are many utilities available in javascript which let you take screenshot of web page. But to answer your question: Backend shouldn't do this job to take screenshot of your application.
