Does the get
command in lftp
with option -O
create the specified directory if it does not exist or does it return an error?
eg: get -O home/thisDirectoryDoesNotExist -e data.txt
I was not able to find this information in the manual https://linux.die.net/man/1/lftp .
As @stark suggested in their comment, I tried it myself and got the following error message:
get: data.txt: home/thisDirectoryDoesNotExist: No such file or directory
So get
does not create the specified directory if it does not exist.
