Floating Action Button Animation

When a fab shows up, it animates using a scale in animation and when it is hidden, it uses a scale out animation.

So, it is a scale in and scale out animation.

How to make this animation?

From the @Zielony answer, I made it exactly where I wanted.

Below is the code for the effect correctly applied.

The button is just scaling from 0 to 1 with OvershootInterpolator. It should be something like this:

You can use this method to animate scale up any view. If you reverese 0 and 1 you wull get scale down animation

As for me, this type of scale animation looks better with startOffset value set. This worked good for me:

Use the following code to get the same effect.

    anim.setDuration(400);
    anim.setInterpolator(new OvershootInterpolator());
    imageView.startAnimation(anim);

Assuming the ask is to animate FloatingActionButton resizing, I started by subclassing Animation to generally handle a View (adapted to Kotlin from this answer )...

...to handle a FloatingActionButton specifically, I subclassed _ ResizeAnimation_ (done primarily to update the customSize property of the floating action button)...

    fab.startAnimation(animation)
