What Uri should i pass when i am using custom content provider to the camera intent?

I have implementing custom Content Provider.

And I want to use Camera intent

Intent intent= new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
intent.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT, uri);
startActivityForResult(intent, requestCode);

but i don't know what uri to pass so i can add the result image to the content provider

onActivityResult returns null data when i dont put extra.

Any help ? Thanks in advance !

Pass a Uri pointing to where you want the camera app to store the photo. Since nobody knows what your custom ContentProvider is doing in openFile() or related methods, we cannot give you more specific advice.

In the following activity, from this sample app , I am using FileProvider.getUriForFile() to create a valid Uri to where FileProvider can save to the desired file:
