OpenGL just renders a black square

I am trying to learn OpenGL and downloaded the source code for diffuse lighting from LearnOpenGL.com. I made sure that all libraries and files are linked and the program compiles and runs. However, when running, the program, I get the following error:

ERROR::SHADER::FILE_NOT_SUCCESFULLY_READ ERROR::PROGRAM_LINKING_ERROR of type: PROGRAM

Vertex info

(0) : error C5145: must write to gl_Position

Keyboard and mouse inputs are not registered, either. The code is literally copy-pasted from their Github and I've tried to debug but don't know where to start. Please help me fix get this running correctly.

Sounds like the relative paths you're sending into Shader aren't getting resolved to a file on disk.

Make sure your program's current working directory is what the code is assuming it is.

Or switch to absolute paths.
