To begin, I have seen a few posts on this, but did not have much luck with any of the fixes.
I currently have the following code:

I know that the error is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver
. However, I manually add it to the classpath when I begin the session, and I ensured that the file had full permissions given to the Users group.
com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver
is for MySQL , not for Postgres . These are two different, competing database server products.
For accessing Postgres, you have a choice of JDBC driver vendors:
Change the driver
parameter when saving the DataFrame into database. You need to use org.postgresql.Driver
for Postgresql:
