How do SSRS Reports compare visually to python/tableau etc. visuals

Question

What is your opinion on the looks of SSRS Reports in comparison to other tools like python seaborn/pyplot or PowerBi/Tableau Plots. Coming from python visuals and got ordered to re-implement SSRS Reports rather than PowerBI due to licencing issues, I was not impressed by the looks of SSRS, to say the least.

SSRS is VERY old-school. Maybe it's good for print reports. I wouldn't touch it for anything else. It's also probably more costly than Power BI, but maybe it's a sunk cost for you. If so, try recommending to migrate the existing SSRS to Power BI and lower your cost.

Power BI is the future. Head towards that direction. If licensing is an issue, share the.pbix files or export visuals to PowerPoint to share. Tableau and Python take too long to develop standard reports. Maybe great when you need something highly specific if you have great developers who know what they are doing. For 90% of most corporate reporting, Power BI is the cheapest and fastest tool for developing reports.
