'server.xml' file location with Tomcat 8.5 on AmazonLinux 2

Hey I'm working on a service at work that we're trying migrate from Java JDK Amazon Linux to Corretto Amazon Linux 2. The service uses Tomcat 8.5

Long story short, we used to run a linux 'sed' command on the Tomcat server.xml file but it seems like it has been moved somewhere else. Does anyone know where it might be now?

I just installed tomcat on an ec2 AL2 instance, and I saw that the server.xml file is located in /etc/tomcat

[ec2-user@ip- ~]$ sudo find / -name server.xml /etc/tomcat/server.xml

[ec2-user@ip- ~]$ java -version openjdk version "17.0.1" 2021-10-19 LTS OpenJDK Runtime Environment Corretto-17.0.1.12.3 (build 17.0.1+12-LTS) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Corretto-17.0.1.12.3 (build 17.0.1+12-LTS, mixed mode, sharing)

the

Are you looking for the location of Corretto on AL2?

The installation location is /usr/lib/jvm/java-11-amazon-corretto.<cpu_arch>.

Reference site: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/corretto/latest/corretto-11-ug/amazon-linux-install.html

I think the server.xml file resides in /etc/tomcat and this directory is sof-linked to /usr/share/tomcat/conf
