How to change hostname on home network?

I am thinking of changing the hostname of my home's IP address.

I am checking my IP's hostname. And that is what I receive.

[myip].dsl.dyn.forthnet.gr

And I want to make it something like that.

home.mysite.com

I have no idea how to change it.

All you need to do is point the domain to your IP address. You do this at the control panel at your domain provider. .

After doing it, open CMD and ping your domain, to see if it goes to your IP adress. It might take some time (seconds to hours) for the DNS to update.

The hostname wont shop up on "check my ip websites" but will work as your IP address
