On Linux, how do I convert a hex file to a jpg?

I am having trouble converting a hex file to a jpeg; I used okteta successfully, but the saved file won't open.
I am expecting a jpg file that can be opened to reveal it's content

You can use this command:
xxd -r -p YourHexFile.txt YourPhoto.jpg
