SQL Server 2008 and Visual studio 2010 for Developers

I was looking for a development edition for both Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008, so I came up with the following:

I just wonder are the above editions have all what I need such as: will the Visual Studio have (eg .Net framework- local virtual server, etc...) and the SQL Server will have the engine and the ability to be used from Visual Studio and created all type of structures (tables, view, stored procedure, jobs, etc...)

Well, first of all, SQL Server is now at version 2012, and the developer edition costs the same.. so why get 2008 when 2012 is the latest version?

Second, Your needs may be taken care of by the Express editions, of both SQL Server and Visual Studio. Both are free. But you will need to evaluate your needs and compare them to the express edition features.

Third, Visual Studio 2012 is about to be released within the next couple of days, so you might want to wait for that as well.
