Live animation of 3D CAD model from data feed, file or network

I'm working on a HiL project (construction equipment) and the simulation software I'm using doesn't have a way to visualize the model during the HiL simulation.

I have a CAD model of the assembly and I'm trying to see if there is any software out there that will allow to move the CAD assembly, within motion constraints, live using a data source which could be a file continuously adding data points or maybe a network communication (I could setup an RPC server to send new displacements during the simulation).

My idea is that I could save the important states to a file (or send them through the network) and the CAD tool will continuously read that file (or network data stream) and update the model orientation live.

It is what our DG Kernel (DInsight) was designed for. Check it out. We would be happy to help with anything.
