How can I check if there is no whitespace before and after a dot?

Example output's:

ABCSF.GHJJKA = true;
ABCSF . GHJJKA = false;
ABCSF. GHJJKA = false;
ABCSF .GHJJKA = false;
ABCSFGHJJKA = false;
ABCSF GHJJKA = false;

I use example.matches();
